The New York Bakery Company reported the results of their study in January 2013, that looked into the eating habits of Brits. They found that the traditional lunch hour is a thing of the past. Approximately 47% of respondents say that they are too busy to eat anything other than a sandwich at their desk for lunch. More than 40% polled admit to spending less than 10 minutes eating their breakfast in the morning. Over 33% of those questioned combined their breakfast and lunch. This brunch is usually eaten in less than 20 minutes by almost 50% of those surveyed. Twenty per cent of respondents skip both breakfast and lunch and snack throughout the day. These individuals found that after the constant nibbling, they were not hungry for supper. Fourteen per cent of Londoners tended to eat after 9PM at night due to working late into the evening. In Yorkshire, 16 per cent of those surveyed admitted to waking up in the middle of the night to snack.
