IMG_1606Written by Monica Joyce, MS, RD, LD, CDE: This is the title of a recent report on stomach cancer.Recent research links these 3 to stomach cancer along with the typical causes such as smoking and eating food preserved with salt and an infection called Helicobacter pylori.

Stomach cancer is a killer causing vague symptoms so it ‘s often caught later rather than earlier. The evidence suggests that 3 or more alcoholic beverages a day, eating 1.8 oz of processed meat increase risk along with being at a higher weight

increase the risk for stomach cancer. Fresh unprocessed foods and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is the way to go.
