Dietitian Made Easter Baskets
Tonight I started to put together my grandchildren’s Easter baskets. Although I like to encourage healthy eating for children, I do admit that I do throw some sweets into the baskets. They each got a small chocolate Easter bunny and two small bunny filled containers with chocolate miniature Easter eggs.
The small Easter eggs are perfect for the youngest, Luke, who has needed some encouragement during his potty training. But my daughter has tried hard to give him stickers and even fish crackers to reward his success. He is almost there.
I filled the baskets with Disney DVD’s that would go with their particular interests. And Nora got a pair of princess slippers that I had promised her. They each got some stickers, a paint kit, coloring books, a package of crayons, books, and bubbles. Now I am ready to decorate the baskets with cellophane wrapping and bows. And relatively healthy Easter Baskets are born.
