Do you need a reliable nutrition resource for your clients?
Written by Alexis D’Ascenzo, Dietetic Student at University of Illinois at Chicago, CPT
As a current Personal Trainer, I am frequently being asked questions related to nutrition because my clients know that I am studying to become a Registered Dietitian. With this being said, throughout my academics as a dietetic student the number one piece of advice I would give any other personal trainer is to be sure your nutrition advice and sources are reliable, proven by science based evidence knowledge, and are supported by a nutrition expert, which is a Registered Dietitian.
So, why is Too Busy to Diet such a great resource to have on hand as a personal trainer?
1. Most importantly, this book is written by two extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and reputable dietitians who have been in the field for over thirty-five years.
2. This book is designed to be similiar to a Travel Guide. So the next time you are asked a question related to nutrition from a client instead of maybe guessing, or searching it in Google…how convenient would it be to have reliable answers right on hand? I love using it as a reference for clients because it is quick, easy, and accurate!
3. Lastly, not only will this book provide YOU and your clients nutrition related information, facts, and answers but this book was also intended for employee wellness programs as a guide for staff, working professionals, busy moms, college students, newlyweds, and seniors placed on modified diets.
Which means….if your friends, family, or coworkers ask you another nutrition related question, such as how much protein should I be eating? What are foods with the best sources of fiber? Are sugar substitutes really that bad for me? YOU can be the personal trainer that provides confident, dependable, and precise answers!
