There is an App for That!

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has recently promoted a number of apps that parents can download to their mobile devices or notepads that promote nutrition education through games. One of my favorites is “Veggie Circus Farm”, which helps children as young as two years old recognize vegetables. The app provides animated vegetable performances that teach kids how to pronounce the names of vegetables and basic nutrition benefits without the need to read.
