Choosing Yogurt
in The Too Busy to Diet Blog on May 10, 2016
Written by Monica Joyce, RD, LD, MS CDE: We all have our favorite yogurts. So do I. When I ask clients about the nutrition content they often don’t know. Taking a few seconds to read the label will enable you to make an informed decision. I am looking at calories for fat and protein. I want at least 7 grams of protein which is similar to an ounce of meat, fish or an egg. I like to avoid fat and I want my calories around 100.
Here are a few favorites: Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt with 18 grams of protein; Choboni Greek Yogurt Simply 100 Vanilla. I add berries; and Siggi!s 0% Fat Plain yogurt. So shop smart and get the most for your calories.
