As Americans begin their yearly struggles to lose weight, diet companies struggle to stay in business with free weight loss apps taking away many of their customers. Many obese and overweight people are using free apps to help their weight loss attempts.
Dr. George Blackburn, professor of nutrition, Harvard Medical School, believes that diet app use must be supplemented with either individual coaching and a support system to enhance success.
