Dust Off The Scale
in The Too Busy to Diet Blog on March 29, 2015
Written by Monica Joyce. Shedding winter coats. boots, hats and gloves is a welcome spring ritual. For many shedding a few pounds is also. Here’s a tip I’ve used for over 30 years to lose or maintain my weight.
Weigh frequently. I like to jump on the scale every other day. Now a Cornell University Food and Brand Lab study found that weighing at least once a week is important for weight loss. The study showed that the dieters who weighed more frequently lost more weight. The results also showed that the average time dieters could go between weigh-ins without a weight gain was 5.8 days.
So pack up the winter clothes and dust off the scale. Remember to jump on it a few days a week.
