Did you know that being an informed shopper can affect healthy food purchases? A recent study conducted in a supermarket in a socioeconomically diverse region in Phoenix, Arizona demonstrated that adult shoppers who receive healthful shopping information including posted shelf signs, identifying healthful foods, sample lists and tips were more likely to purchase less total saturated and trans fats, more fruits and vegetables and more dark green an yellow vegetables.
