What Does a New School Lunch Look Like?

A consumer research firm called NPD Research Group has found a difference in the items offered to kids, ages 6-12 years old in 1995 and in 2013. Items placed in school lunches resemble more snack-like items in place of sandwiches. These include: yogurt, vegetables, fruit slices, baked chips, pretzels, bread sticks, and lunch meat slices. Below is a list of changes in the items brought to school by children.
