Save Money, Save Flavor

I have a super tasty sliced wheat bread leftover from my family Thanksgiving gathering. However, since it is a fresh loaf from the bakery, it is getting stale faster than I can eat it.
It would be a shame to waste these nice flavors so here is my solution: make croutons! After all that turkey and potatoes, I have been craving the leafy greens. Croutons are a great way to keep a salad from getting boring.
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 350 F
-Cube bread into desired size
-Drizzle olive oil on to a foil-lined pan
-Toss bread cubes in enough oil to get a thin layer on all pieces
-Sprinkle with your favorite Italian seasonings!
Bake for 7 minutes, turn, bake for 7-8 more!
*Other things I enjoy on my salads: pine nuts, a dollop of cottage cheese, mushrooms, or peas*
Enjoy!
