Too Busy to Diet Book: Second Edition is Being Released Soon

in The Too Busy to Diet Blog on June 25, 2021

During Covid, I have been busy working on the second edition of Too Busy to Diet-The Best Nutrition Guide for Busy People. My posts on social media have not been up to par due to the amount of work involved and also the many restrictions due to Covid.
One step taken writing an update has resulted in 10 steps backward. It has been hard being able to work with Amazon, Ingram, and Smashwords due to the fact that you can no longer speak to anyone. E-mails are often not answered properly so you wonder who is actually reading them. I am sure that many of the answers were computer generated and that is the reason that each response often made no sense. After the year spent revising the book, I really feel that instead of the 2nd Edition it should be called the Covid Edition.

I found it amazing that so much has changed in nutrition since our first edition. One of the biggest changes was the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025. The 3 key principles that the dietary guidelines

point out are meeting nutritional needs primarily from foods and beverages, choosing a variety of options from each food group, and watching portion size. There is also new research that has been done on caffeine, alcohol, cardiac health, calcium, and sugar. The changes point out how important it is to receive your nutritional information from a registered dietitian who is the ” nutrition expert” and the one who is keeping on top of new nutrition research.

So, in the weeks to come, you will see me go back to the facebook posts that focus on nutrition and also blogs that elaborate on nutrition topics in detail.

We will also be including weekly recipes from reputable sources who have agreed to share their information. More on our new members on our team to follow.
