Healthy Hearts, Give a Brand New Start!

As American Heart Month comes to an end this Friday, February 28th here are a few of many special American Heart Month events that took place this year!

The Heart of Style Tour: WomenHeart and Burlington teamed up again to launch the Heart of Style Tour, a nationwide initiative to support women’s heart health education and increase awareness of this chronic and life-threatening disease.

 

From the Heart promotion from Silpada Designs, an international direct-selling jewelry company supported in Heart Awareness Month with From the Heart, a promotion featuring Silpada’s January and July Birthstone Rings. For each ring sold between January 20th and February 28th, 2014, WomenHeart  received a $5 donation.

 

National Wear Red Day: Friday, February 7th. Wherever you lived, individuals all over the country rocked their red to show support for women with heart disease.

 

State of Women’s Heart Health Webinar: This special American Heart Month discussion, co-hosted by WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease and the American Heart Association, featured the nation’s leading experts in cardiovascular care.

 

Workout of the Day #4: 50th Anniversary

Today’s Objective: Apply the exercises you have learned in the previous workouts performed this month. Please reflect back to past WOD Wednesday blogs if you need a refresher on any exercises. Also, by all means break up these exercises if you need to. Here is to the last Workout of the Day Wednesday for our healthy hearts! Have at it!!

50 push ups. 50 air squats. 50 sit ups. 50 burpees.
